Turn Your Eyes

Now that I’ve completed my series on the 6  Christian traditions, I will be sharing devotional thoughts with you that the Lord is impressing upon my spirit in the days ahead for encouragement and edification.  My last blog was about Jesus, our Prince of Peace, who is always available, 24/7 to impart to us His amazing peace and serenit; in the midst of any circumstance.  He is able, if only we turn……………turn our eyes upon Him and today that is the topic I’d like to share more about.

Sometimes turning our eyes upon Him seems to be the hardest thing for us to do when faced with frustrations, disappointments, bad news, or a long-awaited answer to what seems like a forever prayer.  I love the promise in Romans 8:28 that says, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  I have found that when I turn my eyes upon Jesus and this particular promise in the midst of confusing circumstances, losses, or regrets, or something I have no control over, I become infiltrated with reassurance and an impartation of hope, because God IS in control of the details of my life, and the promise that He CAN and WILL take any mess and turn it out for good.

Suddenly my God gets bigger and bigger, and the things bothering me- of this world grow strangely dim. Knowing this promise prompts my spirit to sing such choruses as; Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art, how great Thou art, because  He is faithful not only to bring goodness out of grief, but the glory of His presence into my life to invade any pockets of despair.  I have found there is no greater blessing!

Hoping you also have a glory-filled weekend as you turn your eyes upon Him!
