More Reflections on Hope

As Sheila Walsh says, There is nothing more powerful to restore our hope than the Word of God.  Thank God we have His Word so readily available to remind us of ALL His many great and precious promises.  It is literally overflowing with a promise for every difficulty and circumstance we might be facing.

The Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. According to this promise, either He will make a way of escape, or He will become the way of escape.

Faith in His promises is key to activating their power in our lives, which releasing hope.  Our perspective and focus will most definitely influence our experiencing the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.  Keeping an attitude of gratitude, not only keeps our heart’s soft, but the eyes of our heart open to perceive both the solutions and the Giver of solutions; God Himself.

In the Psalms it says that God dwells in the praises of His people, and that a heart filled with thanksgiving it one that is fertile for His Presence to take root in. In that fertile soil the bread of life within His promises can germinate and feed us.  Their nutrients are released and the fruit of hope becomes one of the results.

Jesus is the Bread of Life and His Word is the bread that we are given to feed upon. As our body becomes nutrient deficient, weakly and sick when we don’t nourish it properly, so do our spirits.  Reading God’s Word and meditating on it daily is the antidote to spiritual health.  He will lead us to green pastures, but we have to choose to go and eat.  When we do, we will become strong, healthy and hope-filled.

Why not take some time today to feed upon His Word and praise Him?  I know He will be faithful to meet you and bless you richly.  Until next time……………………Bon appétit!
