Awakening to such a quiet, cool, serene morning sparked my senses anew. Pouring a cup of coffee and settling into my easy chair beside an open window, where birds were singing and soft winds were blowing ushered in such a strong sense of appreciation for this new day!
Picking up my daily devotional and reading, The secret of being thankful is seeing everything from My perspective. My world is your classroom, so precisely described my experience and inspired me for the first time~ in a long time~ to write.
The world is a classroom filled with lessons, teachers and experiences~ opportunities to trust and draw on the grace and strength of God and to grow by. To enjoy and be blessed by. To practice trust, impart love, copartner creatively with, give to and receive from. A gift~ and what sometimes feels like a curse. An environment to minister in, to learn acceptance through and at other times to fight for.
There is so much each day to be thankful for, to rejoice in and to embrace~even in the midst of difficulties and heartache. Life within and around us is bursting and beaming forth everywhere, expressing itself in all the colors of beauty~ just as it is so quietly this morning~ with bright hope and promise for tomorrow.
